BMW Philippines has launched two new all-electric compact sport utility vehicles (SUV) — the iX1 and iX2.

The BMW iX2 costs P4.290 million.Per the SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation-led marque, the former comes in as the emissions-free counterpart of the BMW X1 — released in the country in March 2023 — while the latter serves to boost the company’s fully-electric lineup to eight.
The BMW iX1 is powered by a robust electric motor complemented by a single-speed automatic transmission. The said setup makes some 204 horsepower (hp) with 247 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
On paper, the said setup allows the BMW iX1 to reach a top speed of 170 kilometers per hour (kph) and zoom from a standstill to 100 kph in 8.6 seconds.
In terms of range, the BMW iX1 offers approximately 430-473 kilometers (km) on a single charge.
Notable features include a bold exterior design, all-LED lighting, 18-inch aerodynamic wheels, a 10.25-inch information display and a 10.7-inch infotainment screen.
The BMW iX1 is priced at P3.990 million.

The compact SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) powered by the latest BMW eDrive technology will therefore give a major boost to the accelerated ramp-up of electric mobility,” BMW Philippines wrote in a press release.
On the other hand, the BMW iX2 uses a 204-hp electric motor that boasts 250 Nm of pulling power and works in conjunction with a single-speed automatic transmission.
Performance-wise, it achieves peak speed at 170 kph and acceleration speeds of 8.6 seconds — like the aforementioned BMW iX1 — from zero to 100.
It is equipped with a 64.8 kilowatt-hour battery pack that offers some 439-478 km of emissions-free driving with a full charge.
Notably, the BMW iX2 gets a visually-expressive exterior with an eye-catching hexagonal grille and a loading capacity of up to 1,400 liters — making it a versatile ride.
Its center console also offers convenience features like a wireless charger while above the dashboard sits a widescreen display unit.
Customers looking to drive home a BMW iX2 will be set back P4.290 million.

Its larger frame and pronounced coupe silhouette signal a significant evolution, making it bold and distinct.
