BMW Group hits 1.2-M sales milestone in H1 2023

According to the conglomerate’s report, the BMW Group’s strongest market is Europe.Per the German automotive conglomerate, the said figure translated to an 11.3 percent increase in terms of its overall sales compared to the same time period last year.
Broken down, these numbers reveal that a huge portion came from the BMW brand at 1,071,326 units from January to June 2023. In the same time frame, Mini was able to sell 140,357 vehicles while Rolls-Royce contributed 3,181 automobiles.
Europe remained the consortium’s biggest market with BMW and Mini selling 448,623 cars in the region in the first six months of 2023. Meanwhile, the two brands sold 511,628 cars in Asia; 392,580 units in China; and 224,686 vehicles in the Americas.
“Strong sales development in general and especially for our fully-electric vehicles, shows that we have the right products on the market at the right time. The BMW Group will continue its successful ramp-up of electromobility at a high pace in the second half of the year. We are winning over customers worldwide with our young and attractive product line-up. Due to our diverse offering — ranging from highly efficient combustion engines to fully electric models — we are addressing the wide variety of customer needs around the globe in an ideal way,” stated BMW Member of the Board of Management responsible for Customers, Brands, and Sales Pieter Nota.
As for BMW’s motorcycle arm, it was able to sell 112,871 units from January to June 2023, marking a 4.9 percent growth for the brand.
