BMW Motorrad celebrate centenary with limited-edition R nineT, R 18
As BMW Motorrad celebrates its 100-year history, the German brand’s motorcycle division showcased the special and limited 100 Years-edition iterations of the R nineT Roadster and the R 18 Cruiser.

Likewise, the front wheel cover is also painted in black and features white double lining. A similar two-tone combination of black and oxblood colorway can be found on the BMW R nineT 100 Years’ seat bench.
Other black components such as fork tubes and air intake snorkel complement the motorbike’s colors.
In between the rider’s thighs is an air and oil-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine that makes 109 horsepower (hp).
Meanwhile, the BMW R 18 100 Years boast a respectable 91-hp boxer engine. According to the motorcycle brand, the motor engine in the BMW R 18 100 Years is the largest displacement ever installed by BMW Motorrad.
Design-wise, the BMW R 18 100 Years features styling cues akin to the abovementioned BMW R nineT 100 Years with plenty of chrome, black, and white accents found all over the motorbike. Of course, it also gets a 100 Years badge.
The front wheel cover and the side covers are painted in black, complemented by white double lining on the front mudguard. Its engine, transmission housing, and rear axle drive are all painted in black. Chrome can be found on the motorcycle’s handlebar fittings, gearshift and foot brake levers, handlebar clamps, handlebar weights, mirrors, brake master cylinders, brake calipers, engine casing covers, cylinder head covers, and intake manifold trims.
Other features of the BMW R 18 100 Years include chromed Akrapovič rear silencers with perforated tailpipe trims.
According to BMW Motorrad, only 1,923 samples of each model will be built. Price and launch date are yet to be announced.
