SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation, the official distributor of BMW cars in the Philippines, has brought the fully electric i7 to the country.
Representing the pinnacle of BMW’s portfolio, the battery-electric vehicle is poised to offer Filipino car buyers all-electric innovation, visionary design, and powerful driving dynamics.
“The BMW i7 is the third fully electric BMW automobile that is now available in the Philippines. We are very excited to introduce an all-electric vehicle that is a first in the executive sedan segment and completely redefines the essence of luxury. The i7 not only fulfills our promise of further stimulating the premium car segment by bringing more electrified options to the Philippines, it is also the most future-forward car BMW has ever made. With thoughtful design and powerful driving dynamics, it is the clear choice for those who drive the world,” said SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation President Spencer Yu.
At the front, the first-ever BMW i7 wears a kidney grille — fully enclosed to optimize airflow — with the BMW i sub-brand logo.
Providing would-be owners with premium lighting is a pair of Iconic Glow crystal headlights that come as standard. Here, crystals from Swarovski — arranged in L-shapes and each backlit by LED units — act as sidelights and daytime driving lights.
The automobile’s side profile is highlighted by flush-fitted windows, semi-automatic doors, and 21-inch BMW Individual aerodynamic 910 Multicolor Dark Grey 3D polished buff mixed wheels.
Its rear boasts slim LED taillamps that evoke grace and elegance.
Other notable exterior appointments include a horizontal bar in the lower air intake, decorative elements in the side skirts and rear apron, and surrounds of the BMW logo at the front and rear that come in BMW i Blue.
The BMW i7 is available in six colors, namely Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Sophisto Grey, Sparkling Copper Grey, Space Silver, and Oxide Grey.
Inside, the all-electric BMW i7 flaunts a posh cabin with seats wrapped in BMW Individual leather “Merino” upholstery. Those looking to personalize the interior can have the seats finished in Amarone, Tartufo, Mocha, or Black.
More opulent appointments come in the form of open-pore matt fine-wood trim strip in Flake Oak Gray (found on the instrument panel), four-zone automatic climate control, roller sun blinds, and a fixed panorama glass roof.
Additionally, the Philippine-market BMW i7 is equipped with the BMW Curved Display, which consists of a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central information display. The infotainment system has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Audio is sent to the premium Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System.
For added convenience, the BMW i7 comes with a wireless charging tray on the center console as standard.
The first-ever BMW i7 also introduces a new kind of operation and design element — the BMW Interaction Bar. Through it, occupants can adjust the ventilation and climate control, activate the hazard warning lights, and open the glove compartment.
Powering the first-ever BMW i7 is the fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology. This sophisticated system makes 544 horsepower and 745 Newton meters of torque.
The BMW i7 is priced at P10.390 million. According to the SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation, every purchase of the all-electric luxury sedan includes a five-year BMW factory warranty, an eight-year high-voltage battery warranty, and a six-year BMW Service Inclusive warranty.
Those interested can check out the BMW i7 at authorized BMW i retailers: RSA Motors Libis and RSA Motors Greenhills.
To note, the arrival of the BMW i7 goes hand-in-hand with the introduction of the new 7 Series sedan in the local automotive market.
