  • According to the German carmaker, the all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20 is powered by an electric motor that features a temporary boost. Further, the sport utility vehicle (SUV) is also fitted with the current fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology.

    In unison, the all-electric powertrain setup can produce a maximum torque of 250 Newton-meters, on top of the aforementioned horsepower figure.

    Further, it can speed up from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 8.6 seconds. Speed peaks at 170kph. In terms of range, the all-new entry-level model can go anywhere from 430 to 475 kilometers.

    Fueling the all-electric SUV is a high-voltage battery with usable energy content of up to 64.78 kilowatt-hours.

    In terms of charging, the all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20 can be juiced up from zero to 100 percent of its capacity within six-and-a-half hours using AC charging with up to 11 kilowatts (kW). On the other hand, BMW revealed that a three-phase AC charging with an output of up to 22 kW is optionally available and can recharge the SUV in under four hours.

    Charging in a fast charging station will allow owners to fill the battery from 10 to 80 percent in approximately half an hour.

    The all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20 also comes with BMW Maps navigation system, a two-zone automatic air conditioning, numerous modern driver assistance systems, the Parking Assistant including Reversing Assist Camera, and numerous innovative digital services.

    As with modern BMW units, the SUV also gets the BMW Curved Display, which consists of a 10.25-inch Information Display and a 10.7-inch Control Display under a common glass surface curved towards the driver.

    Per BMW, the all-new iX1 eDrive20 will be available in November 2023. It will have a €47,900 price tag, which amounts to approximately P2.910 million.
