Bugatti to Produce New Model, Limited to 40 Units
Bugatti is set to unveil a new model that's limited to just 40 units and will carry a price tag of EUR5 million (around PHP313 million).
The car will be named as the Bugatti Divo, after Albert Divo, the French racing driver who won the Targa Florio race on a mountainous circuit in Sicily for Bugatti twice in the late 1920s.
The Divo will reportedly be light and nimble, and capable of generating enormous downforce and g-forces, resulting in a supercar with outstanding handling properties and a character that's defined by a new, strong design language.
"Happiness is not around the corner. It is the corner. The Divo is made for corners," said Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. President Stephan Winkelmann. "With the Divo, we want to thrill people throughout the world. With this project, the Bugatti team has an opportunity to interpret the brand DNA in terms of agile, nimble handling in a significantly more performance-oriented way."
Bugatti plans to unveil the Divo with a world premiere on August 24 on the lawn at "The Quail--A Motorsports Gathering" in California, USA.
