Buses, trucks temporarily prohibited from taking Q. Ave. flyover U-turn
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will temporarily prohibit heavy and tall vehicles such as buses and trucks from taking the U-turn slot under Quezon Avenue (Q. Ave.).

The agency is prohibiting buses and trucks from passing through Q. Ave. flyover U-turn due to an upcoming roadwork.Starting June 22, 2023 (Saturday), the agency will only allow light vehicles to pass through the U-turn slot to give way to the installation of scaffolding under the flyover.
The scaffolds will limit the vertical clearance of the U-turn slot to 2.5 meters only.
According to the MMDA, the upcoming roadwork is part of the Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region’s on-going project of retrofitting and strengthening of permanent bridges, including the Epifanio de los Santos (EDSA) Q. Ave. flyover.
Affected vehicles are advised to take the following alternate routes:
From EDSA Southbound:
- Left turn to Q. Ave.
- Left at Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago Ave. (formerly Agham Road)
- Left at North Ave.
- To Mindanao Ave. or EDSA
From EDSA Northbound:
- Straight towards North Ave.
- Take a U-turn in front of Quezon City Academy
The roadwork — MMDA pointed out — is expected to be finished by August 4, 2023.
