Let's face it: the 2019 Hyundai Reina isn't as "royally-inclined" compared to any blue-blooded queen that sits on an actual throne--actually, it's far from it. Truth is, this subcompact sedan actually fits the more down-to-earth working class, since it's a stylish, affordable, and practical vehicle that can easily be used around the metro. And with all the commuting Filipinos do today, why should you bother with too much luxury right? When it comes to braving the hellish traffic in the Philippines, the 2019 Hyundai Reina will suit almost everyone just fine.

We're not saying it doesn't look good; it's just that it's not the type of vehicle that makes you do a double-take for its luxurious and eye-catching appearance, if you know what we mean.
Still, its Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 Design Language can still please--if practicality is what you're after. There are no fancy lines or bulges that's out of place here--only a sleek, straightforward design that's meant to be simple and utilitarian. So if you base your identity on how your car looks, then we'd strongly suggest you don't include Reina in your must-have list.
One word that comes to mind when you get inside the Reina is tidy. In many ways, the interiors are just an extension of its appearance since everything inside this vehicle is simple and practical (with emphasis on the latter one). You can easily see it in the numerous storage spaces and bins splattered everywhere. Ample space is also quite good--especially the trunk.
Other features include a 2.8-inch LCD Instrument Cluster and a 3.5-inch SEG LCD 1-DIN Radio (AM/FM) audio system, a USB port, and manual air conditioning. Basically, that's it. We were a bit disappointed by its lack of features and hard plastic interiors though. But then again, with a price tag like that, we understand why Hyundai had to cut corners (a lot).
The Reina offers Dual SRS Airbags and an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Quite disappointing here as well. They should have at least added an Electronic Brake Distribution Feature (EBD) in tandem with the ABS feature. These features are often staple features in even entry-level vehicles today.
@www.hyundai.phThis five-seater sedan comes with either a four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual. Its Motor-Driven Power Steering helps optimize motor function while reducing vehicle weight, something that those with arthritis will really appreciate.
Meanwhile, its Kappa 1.4 MPI engine can churn out 94 hp and 132 Nm of torque--not bad, if what you're looking after is a practical vehicle that can perform quite well in (and out of) traffic.
The Reina comes in five colors: Polar White, Blue Passion, Oriental Brown, Glowing Silver, and Fiery Red. Its 1.4 GL 4AT has a price tag of PHP648,000 while its 1.4 GL 5MT is priced at PHP598,000.
