BYD Philippines officially launched the Atto 3 in the country.
In an event at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati, the Ayala-led local arm of the Chinese automotive brand bared the two variants of the BYD Atto3, which are Dynamic and Premium. They are priced at P1.598 million and P1.798 million, respectively.
“We are excited to formally launch the Atto 3,” said AC Motors President Antonio Zara.
“The Atto 3 is for the young professional looking for an everyday car that’s reliable, efficient, and one that reflects their modern personality but with an eye for design. The Atto 3 is also for the working mom, working dad, who needs their car to be worry-free, a workhorse, running errands and taking their kids to school, but also wants it done in comfort, in style. It is for the weekend warrior who looks forward to the car’s exhilarating acceleration, whether going to a Tagaytay food trip, a game of golf, or visiting a museum in Antipolo. It is a car for the modern Filipino who doesn’t compromise style, performance, affordability… This is, ladies and gentlemen, the BYD Atto 3,” Zara added.
The BYD Atto 3 packs a permanent magnet synchronous motor that sends power to the front wheels. The said setup produces some 201 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters of torque. It zooms from a standstill to 100 kilometers from 7.9 to 7.3 seconds.
Additionally, the said setup gives the BYD Atto 3 an estimated all-electric range of up to 480 kilometers.
In its heart is the BYD Blade Battery, which Zara explained is “engineered to be safer, provide longer range, and last several thousand cycles.” Further, the AC Motors head honcho noted that the BYD Blade Battery is “one of the world’s safest batteries.”
Notable features of the BYD Atto 3 include a five-inch instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, and vehicle-to-load capabilities.
Speaking of charging, AC Motors Chief Executive Officer Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said that BYD Philippines will be providing Atto3 customers with a free seven-kilowatt charger allowing would-be owners to recharge their vehicles at home.
