ZHUHAI, CHINA: BYD — which is distributed by AC Motors — will launch Atto 3 within the month.
Mobility Access Philippines Ventures Incorporated Antonio Zara III said that the latest electrified subcompact sport utility vehicle (SUV) — which is set to compete indirectly with the Toyota Corolla Cross — will be unveiled in the Philippine market at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.
Here are the possible specifications that the upcoming model might have.
In Europe, the purely-electric front-wheel-drive vehicle is powered by an electric motor that has maximum churn of 214 horsepower — allowing the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour (kph).
It is paired with a battery that can cover 420 kilometers of road (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure standards).
The upcoming crossover seen in Europe also features an 88-kilowatt (kw) charger that juices up the vehicle from 30-80 percent in approximately 29 minutes.
Inside the cabin, the forthcoming vehicle might be equipped with a 15.6-inch floating infotainment system that is Apple Carplay and Android-Auto ready.
Further, the BYD Atto 3 will probably be equipped with blind spot detection, lane keep assist, intelligent cruise control, as well as the rear-cross traffic alert with brake assist. To note, the vehicle has received a five-rating from the European New Car Assessment Program.
In addition, Zara said that the image price of the Philippine-spec BYD Atto 3 will be around P2 million.
