The Geely Okavango has impressed Filipino motorists not only for its classy exterior but also for its well-appointed interior. On that note, the sport utility vehicle (SUV) has been on the list of local car buyers eyeing a capable daily driver or a weekend family vehicle that can keep its passengers comfortable on both short and long drives.
Join us as we take a look at what’s inside the Geely Okavango.
The Geely Okavango offers a spacious cabin for its occupants. The seven-seater SUV boasts a generous space with decent leg, elbow, and headroom so passengers sitting on the second and third-row seats won’t have to rub elbows with one another.
Its second-row seats can accommodate three full-sized adults while the third-row can comfortably cater to two medium-sized passengers.
Would-be owners of the Geely Okavango can enjoy a wide variety of seating configurations to best suit their needs.
Per the local arm of the Chinese automotive brand, the Geely Okavango offers 19 customizable layouts. That said, owners can definitely find ways to fit creature or cargo.
The Geely Okavango boasts 275 liters (L) of cargo space with the third-row seats up, 1,200L of cargo space with the third-row seats down, and 2,050L of space with both the second and third-row seats down.
The range-topping variant of the Geely Okavango’s cabin features an abundance of leather trims. These plush accents can be found on the automobile’s seats, steering wheel, dashboard, front-row armrest, and door trims.
Not only are these leather trims good to touch but they also give the interior of the Geely Okavango an upmarket appeal.
Decent technology
The in-car tech offered by the Geely Okavango is pretty decent. Past the multi-functional steering wheel is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which displays relevant driving information in crisp detail. Beside the instrument panel is a similarly-sized (12.3 inches) infotainment system display that doubles as a monitor for the SUV’s 360-degree panoramic camera.
Depending on the variant, the abovementioned infotainment system will direct audio to four or eight speakers.
Air conditioning on the Geely Okavango’s interior is also impressive. The top-of-the-line model gets a triple-zone intelligent air-conditioning system. Passengers sitting on the second-row seats get their own vents positioned at the back of the front-row armrest. Below the vents are controls for the air conditioning for the rear occupants. Those sitting at the far back get their own air-conditioning vents located on the side.
And oh, the Geely Okavango also has a rain-sensing and anti-pitch panoramic sunroof.
The Geely Okavango makes for a great choice, especially if you want your passengers to remain comfortable when you hit the road. Granted, the riding experience is not as great as today’s luxury SUVs, but the Geely Okavango provides agreeable amenities that can suit most of today’s car buyer’s budgets and motoring needs.
Geely PH is offering the Okavango in three trims, priced from P1.503 million to P1.765 million.
