About a week ago, Chery unboxed its second new energy vehicle offering, the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid.
The semi-hybrid crossover wears modern-looking appointments inside and out and promises to be an affordable choice for Filipino car buyers looking to switch to a more sustainable means of mobility.
And while the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid does look the part thanks to exterior features like a bold fascia, a decent side profile, and an aggressive rear end, many might wonder what its interior looks like.
On that note, we’re going to take a quick look at what one may find — and experience — inside the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid.
The interior of the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid offers design continuity, specifically the red trims found on the crossover’s exterior. The said red exterior trims come in the form of accents on its lower front bumper and on the side claddings on the vehicle’s doors.
Inside, these translate to red trims noticeable on the automobile’s dashboard, door handles, and seats, as well as on the stitchings on its front center armrest and floormats.
The use of such color accents inside and out does make the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid look like a well-thought-of crossover.
The Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid comes with leather appointments all over the cabin.
Providing comfort for occupants are seats wrapped in perforated hide. Likewise, the steering wheel does come wrapped in soft leather for a pleasurable driving experience.
The Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid’s armrests (both front and rear) are also covered in the same comfy material.
According to Chery Philippines, the aforementioned leather materials are sourced sustainably, which will further appeal to car buyers who are drawn to the mild hybrid powertrain setup that the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid has to offer.
Inside the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid is a suite of modern amenities starting with the fully-digital seven-inch instrument cluster past the crossover’s multi-functional steering wheel.
Sitting next to it is a floating infotainment system that measures 10.25 inches and comes with features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and doubles as its 360-degree around-view monitor and reversing camera when its owners are attempting to maneuver in tight spots.
Complementing the two digital screens are more modern tech such as a wireless charging dock, digital controls for its air conditioner, and a meager sunroof, which according to a video demonstration shown by Chery, can be operated by voice control.
Crossovers are now commonly used as family vehicles, which means that their usual passengers are one’s kids, nieces and nephews, or titos and titas who seem to can’t get enough of today’s overpriced coffees.
That said, the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid offers just the right amount of cup and bottle holders. Two can be found on the center console, two on the rear folding center armrest, and several others on each of the doors.
The front center armrest also opens up a cubby hole for one’s everyday carry.
The Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid does offer a modern-looking cabin that echoes the vibe of its overall exterior package.
And while several plastic parts found inside the cabin kind of give the interior an econo-car-like feel, the use of such materials is forgivable since the Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid can offer the general motoring public an affordable means of switching to new energy vehicles.
The Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid is priced at P1.14 million.
