Hot on the heels of its recent local release, the updated Kia Carnival looks sleeker and more luxurious than ever. The modern minivan brings with it a host of new features like LED lights from the front to the rear, electronic sliding doors, a power tailgate, a sunroof, and a set of good-looking alloy wheels.
Despite the fun and loud picture painted by this vehicle’s moniker, the design language of the new Carnival speaks of a calm and composed quality. Unlike the majority of its competitors that offer striking and aggressive looks, the vibe that the Kia Carnival gives is more laid back and invites the passengers to a comfortable ride, whether it’s a long trip to the provinces or just a short drive to the coffee house.
Along with the mature and handsome look is a suite of color options that perfectly suits its new look. Interested to find out what these hues are? Join us as we check out the composed colors of the Kia Carnival.
As we always say, white is the safest color in the automobile palette. Statistics say that white vehicles are less likely to be involved in road accidents as they stand out in almost all backdrops and can easily be spotted on the road without straining the eye.
Speaking of which, white being a sedate color, is pleasing to the eye and will not look intimidating which makes it a perfect color for those planning to get a Carnival as a family car.
White, however, is a pain to keep clean and will easily show dust and dirt. On that note, expect to spend more time — and money — as you’d find yourself taking this passenger van to the carwash more often.
This achromatic color makes the Kia Carnival look like it’s joined the Dark Side of The Force. Its shiny black finish makes the minivan’s silver and chrome trims pop out in an elegant and sophisticated way. That said, many see the Kia Carnival in Aurora Black Pearl look like an executive van fitting to be the antagonist boss’ ride.
Would-be owners of black Carnivals should be more careful though as this pitch-black color may be hard to see at night. And while an all-LED lighting setup and a large exterior dimension will surely improve your presence on the road, nothing beats bringing an extra dose of care and caution.
This finish gives off a gun metallic vibe and makes the Kia Carnival look like it’s discreetly fun to drive. And it is, thanks to the 2.2-liter diesel engine mated to Kia’s Smartstream eight-speed automatic transmission, the Kia Carnival is capable of giving its owners an exciting yet safe driving experience.
And while we’re on the topic of responsible and fun driving, the Kia Carnival also comes with Normal, Eco, Sport, Smart driving modes that allow owners to adjust the vehicle’s driving dynamics depending on the situation.
Kia is offering the Carnival in two variants with prices ranging from P2,540,000 to P2,998,000.
