It is the Biyaheng Pagtulong fuel promo. This is designed to help areas ravaged by Typhoon Odette. What is this promo all about and how does it work?
The company pledged to donate P1 per liter on all Caltex fuel products bought in its entire retail network from February 4-10, 2022.Dubbed as the Biyaheng Pagtulong fuel promo, the oil company — marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI) — the company said that its network of retailers and marketers will be donating P1 for every liter of fuel purchased from February 4-10, 2022.
CPI said that it will top up the collected amount, in partnership with the American Chamber Foundation of the Philippines (AMCHAM Foundation).
The aforementioned fuel up-to-donate drive covers all Caltex fuel products and there is no minimum fuel purchase required. According to CPI, the more motorists that will gas-up at its retail network, the higher the chances that the targeted P5-million fund will be reached to donate to the typhoon victims.
“Electricity and water supply have yet to be restored in most of the areas hit by Typhoon Odette. Residents are also struggling with food, clothing, and shelter. Relief efforts in these hard-hit areas are still ongoing,” CPI shared in a statement.
“Chevron Philippines has always been committed to improving the quality of life of the communities we operate in. We want to appeal to the Filipino spirit of Bayanihan to help those in need. It is our hope that the collective contributions will help in addressing the immediate needs of our countrymen affected by Typhoon Odette,” CPI Country Chairman Billy Liu was quoted as saying.
The Caltex Biyaheng Pagtulong promo can be availed at all Caltex stations nationwide except for the areas which were badly hit by the typhoon.
To note, CPI has a long tradition of donations to various charitable non-government organizations such as the Philippine Red Cross. CPI immediately mobilized aid and relief donations in millions during Typhoons Ondoy, Yolanda, and Ulysses, to name a few.
