Caltex marketer Chevron, AmCham donate laptops to scholars
Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI) — the official marketer of Caltex in the country— donated refreshed laptops to various scholars and beneficiaries in partnership with the American Chamber Foundation Philippines, Inc. (AmCham).

The Jesuit Bukidnon Mission received 50 laptops during the recent turnover.In a statement, CPI shared that it handed over 93 laptops to scholars — 50 of which were given to Jesuit Bukidnon Mission (JBM).
According to CPI, JBM is supporting 100 Lumad youth scholars in Mindanao. “JBM empowers youth scholars to become leaders by giving them quality education and holistic formation,” CPI noted.
Of the 50 units, 40 units will be distributed for common use at the JBM high school and college dormitories. The remaining 10 units are for the Tagbanua Ministry under the auspices of the Loyola College of Culion (LCC) in Palawan.
“Through our Energy for Learning initiative, Caltex continues to find ways to support education, especially these days where distance learning is the norm in order to ensure the continuity of learning even amidst the pandemic,” CPI Country Chairman and General Manager Billy Liu said.
“The donation of these laptops will help organizations such as the Jesuit Bukidnon Mission achieve its goals of honing scholars to become future leaders.”
Further, the company said that it “believes in helping communities prosper and continues to invest for the long-term in education especially in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).”

(BPOI) for generously providing the needed operating system and Microsoft Office for the computers,” Bukidnon Mission Superior and Indigenous People Ministry Coordinator Fr. Ambrosio Flores, SJ was quoted as saying.
