CAMPI-TMA Apr. YTD retail performance grow 15%
The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) has sold 146,920 units for the first four months of 2024.

Last month, the two groups turned over 37,314 vehicles to their respective clients.Based on their joint report, the aforementioned figure is 14.8-percent higher compared to the 127,927 vehicles retailed during the same period last year.
Last April alone, two groups were able to roll out 37,314 vehicles to their respective customers — 0.4 percent decline versus March 2024’s 37,474-unit sales output. However, April 2024’s figures is also 21.8 percent higher compared to the 30,643 units turned over to clients the same month last year.
The commercial vehicle (CV) segment continues to provide the strongest retail thrust as it sold 108,667 examples, which reflects 73.96-percent share of the market). The said number showed a 13.4-percent growth when compared to 95,857-vehicle output made in the same duration in 2023.
On the other hand, the passenger car category — which holds the remaining 26.05-percent share of the market — was able to sell 38,280 examples — a 19.4-percent increase versus the 32,070 units sold in January-April 2023.
CAMPI President Rommel Gutierrez stated that the two group’s total output can be credited to the “positive consumer and business confidence plus stability in automotive finance boosted sales.”
Toyota Motor Philippines continues to lead the local automotive sales in the country with 67,580 units sold (46 percent share). Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation took the second spot with 27, 828 vehicles handed over to clients (18.94 percent share).
Ford Group Philippines and Nissan Philippines were in third and fourth spots respectively — with the Blue Oval marque turning over 9,688 vehicles (6.59 percent) to buyers and the Japanese automaker selling 9,375 examples.
Meanwhile, Suzuki Philippines is at the fifth place after selling 6,117 units (4.16-market share).
To note, CAMPI is eyeing to sell 468,300 units by the end of the year.
