CAMPI-TMA Feb. 2025 YTD sales grow 6%
MANILA: The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) sold 76,768 units in the first two months of 2025.
As seen on the recently-released joint report, the two groups enjoyed a 6.4-percent increase from the 72,132 vehicles retailed in January-February last year.
Last month, CAMPI-TMA members collectively delivered 39,164 units to their customers showing a 2.9-percent rise from the 38,072 units turned over to buyers in February 2024 and 4.2-percent higher than January 2025’s 37,604-unit retail performance.
Aside from that, the two groups handed over a total of 3,416 new energy vehicles (NEV) in January-February 2025 — with most of the units sold being hybrid electric vehicles.

Retail performance per category
Leading the groups’ automotive sales is the commercial vehicle segment, which sold a total of 60,885 units during the January-February period — cornering 79.31 percent share of the market. The aforementioned category’s churn is 12.6 percent higher versus the 54,048 examples handed over to clients during the same period in 2024.
Its strong performance slowed down the effect of the passenger car segment’s dwindling sales, which experienced a 12.4-percent decline after only selling 15,883 units for the initial two months of the year. Same period last year, the said category retailed 18,129 vehicles sold in January-February 2024.
CAMPI-TMA attributed the numbers to the following:
- Supply chain stability
- Growing demand for electric and autonomous vehicles
- Global economic conditions
“There has been a notable consumers' preferences for connected and personalized driving experiences, alongside a shift towards sustainability and environmental concerns. Technological advancements in AI, sensors, and infotainment systems, among others, are showing potential to transform the industry overtime. These factors will contribute to the overall positive sales trends in 2025,” the group shared.
