CAMPI-TMA YTD sales grow by 30% in Q1 2023
The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) enjoyed a 30-percent growth on its combined first quarter year-to-date sales compared to the same period in 2022.

CAMPI President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez considered the March 2023 sales data as “good news” as the auto industry “continues to hinge on the thriving consumer demand for new motor vehicles, which hopefully will further improve in the coming months.” “In the same way, favorable economic conditions are also an important driving factor for sustained growth,” the group leader stated.
“It is worth noting that the March 2023 sales performance is the second highest monthly performance in a post-pandemic time, after the more than 37,000-unit sales level recorded in December last year,” Gutierrez added.
Toyota Motor Philippines continues to lead the groups’ sales rally with 42,205 units sold, followed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation with 17,765. In third and fourth spots are Nissan Philippines (6,396), Ford Philippines (5,893).
Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated managed to climb to fifth place after its 4,661-unit output, pushing Suzuki Philippines to sixth place with 4,479 examples sold.
