Changan Auto sells more than 2-M units in 2022

Changan Auto's 2022 net profit is around P62.398 billion.In a statement, Changan Motor Philippines Inc. (CMPI) said that the aforementioned number of retailed units reflected a two-percent increase year-on-year.
Of the said figures, 284,000 examples of new energy vehicles were delivered to customers — which translates to a 160.5-percent growth.
In addition, Changan Auto closed 2022 with a net profit of $1.122 billion (P62.398 billion) — an increase of 119.52 percent compared to 2021.
Per Changan the results in sales volume and profit augur well for Changan’s overseas development strategy, dubbed “Vast Ocean Plan,” which was formally announced during the Automotive Industry Exhibition in Shanghai, China.
Under the Vast Ocean plan, the company is set to unveil no less than 30 global products by 2025 in 3,000 new overseas outlets.
Further, Changan Auto is eyeing to cement its position as a world-class automotive brand, exceed its overseas investment of $10 billion (P557.165 billion) as well as its targeted annual overseas sales volume of 1.2 million units, and add more than 10,000 employees to its overseas teams by 2030.
Moreover, the company also plans to transform into an intelligent low-carbon travel technology company.
For her part, CMPI President and Chief Executive Officer Maria Fe Perez-Agudo continues to express her full confidence in the brand.
