Following its launch last week, Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) immediately brought the CS55 Plus at the 2022 Auto Focus Pre-Christmas Test Drive Festival.
Expressing eagerness to showcase the vehicle’s capabilities to the public, the Chinese automaker’s local distributor brought the vehicle at the event, which will take place from November 17-20 SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City.
The newly-revealed model is joined by its stablemates the Changan CS35 Plus, Alsvin and CS75 Plus at the test drive event.
The all-new Changan CS55 Plus is powered by a 1.5-liter Blue Core turbocharged gasoline direct inject (TGDi) engine that can deliver as much as 185 horsepower and 300Nm of torque. The mill is matched to the Changan Blue Core seven-speed, wet-type shift-by-wire, Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system.
The vehicle is heavy on safety technologies as it comes with a myriad of Smart Active Safety Assistance features like the automatic emergency brake with city/inter-urban and pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, electronic stability program with roll-over mitigation, and dynamic brake function.
Further, the new sport utility vehicle offering is equipped with anti-brake lock system with electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control, brake assist, hill hold control and hill descent control, a rear parking sensor, and a 360-degree panoramic camera with high-definition driving recorder system.
The all-new Changan CS55 Plus, which is packaged with a five-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty, comes in four body colors namely Black Pearl, Fantasy Gray, White Knight, and Supernova Red.
