Changan CS75 Plus nets 17.3kpl in AAP test

The Changan CS75 Plus returned a good result at the fuel economy run conducted by Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI)  and the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).

Based on the test held last July 20 to 22, the CS75 Plus recorded a 17.3 kilometer-per-liter (kpl) reading after covering 180.65 kilometers of highway and running between 60 and 85kph.

The CS75 Plus 1.5L 6AT traversed Shell Balagtas North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) northbound to Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) Tarlac Terminus, going to Shell of Asia Bulacan, passing through NLEX, to Clark Spur Road, SCTEX, and back.

During city driving, the sport utility vehicle offering from the Chinese automaker registered 8.933 kpl after being driven for 90.7 kilometers.

changan-cs75-plusThe route for the test started from Makati, Pasay City, Manila, and Quezon City, and vice versa, with varying speeds in compliance with traffic rules and according to road conditions.

Further, CMPI noted that the Changan CS75 Plus was used under realistic driving parameters: fueled to the brim; vehicle at bone-stock condition; tire pressures set at original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications; air-conditioning unit set to medium-cool thermostat; radio either not used, on low volume, or on mute; with two passengers and no extra baggage. 

Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline direct inject (T-GDi) engine matched to a six-speed automatic transmission.

With a tagline "Change your view of confidence," the CS75 Plus has ensured that function and aesthetics are included in the overall design, thus, being equipped with a a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch touchscreen audio display, D-shape steering wheel, panoramic sunroof as well as scarlet leather seats.

For its safety features, the Changan CS75 Plus — which is anchored on the brand’s safety promise — is fitted with six airbags, 360-degree panoramic camera, hill descent assist and hill hold control, reverse parking sensors, electronic parking brake system and a tire-pressure monitoring system.

Meanwhile, the subcompact sedan Changan Alsvin had a 22.023kpl result for highway driving and 9.369kpl during a city driving test.
