Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) shared the standard automotive technologies that come with the CS55 Plus sport utility vehicle (SUV).
Per the local arm of the Chinese carmaker, these technologies will surprise would-be owners and offer them a different kind of ride.
“You enjoy being different. And you enjoy life on an even keel as well as during its crazier moments. The New CS55 Plus, Changan Auto’s recent addition to its model lineup, is here to keep up with you. Its advanced tech features surprise with the promise of a mannered and stable ride while letting you explore your wild side,” CMPI said in a press release.
The first of these technologies include the SUV’s powerplant — specifically a 1.5-liter Blue Core Turbocharged Gasoline Direct injection (TGDi) that puts out 185 horsepower with up to 300Nm of torque.
According to the Chongqing-based company, the next-generation Blue Core engine boasts three key fuel efficiency technologies: a 350 bar high-pressure direct injection, an industry-leading low friction technology, and an advanced thermal management system.
Further, the CMPI equipped the Changan CS55 Plus with a futuristic cockpit that promotes relaxed and focused driving.
The driver is faced with a compact steering wheel with buttons for its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and infotainment systems. Past the steering wheel is a 10.25-inch LCD digital instrument cluster, and close to it, is a 12.3-inch touch display infotainment system.
Notable is how the Changan CS55 Plus allows owners to operate the windows, sunroof, air conditioning, infotainment, and in-call system, using voice control. Now that’s convenience.
The abovementioned sunroof is also equipped with rain-sensing technology, which prompts it to close automatically when it senses a downpour.
Safety-wise, the Changan CS55 Plus gets features like an automatic emergency brake system, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and integrated adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist.
Additionally, the Changan CS55 Plus comes with a 360-degree view camera with an HD Driving Record System to give drivers a bird’s eye view of the SUV.
The Changan CS55 Plus is offered in three variants: Lite, Hype, and Luxe. They are priced at P1.179 million, P1.128 million, and P1.373 million, respectively.
