Changan PH highlights Bluecore technology

Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI), shared the things that make its Bluecore technology-equipped engine a reason to switch to Changan automobiles.

According to the distributor of Changan vehicles in the country, the Bluecore technology used in Changan’s powerplants is counted among the Top 10 engines in China. This technology powers the entire Changan model lineup, including those currently available in the Philippines.

The company relies on the Changan Automobile Product Test and Verification System (CA-TVS) to ensure the consistent performance of its engines. CA-TVS — CMPI pointed out — subjects every motor to over four million kilometers (km) of test mileage or 4,500 tests in 15 areas, including environment, strength, and safety.

Engines equipped with Bluecore technology were even exposed to the harshest temperatures as well as to punishing elevations.

Just three years ago, the Changan Bluecore broke the Guinness World Record for the longest live video broadcasting where the engine was made to run non-stop for 259 hours at a sustained speed of 5,500 revolutions per minute and emerged without showing any signs of wear or tear, proving its reliability and stability.

Here in the Philippines, CMPI staged a 100,000-km endurance run for the CS35 Plus. The feat proved why Changan BlueCore engines are as tough as nails since the-then brand-new unit ran from North to South of the country under various road and weather conditions until it racked up a total mileage of 100,000 km.

After completing the run, the said Changan CS35 Plus — which of course received recommended periodic maintenance service — remained in peak roadworthy condition. Only consumable PMS parts, such as the brake pads, oil, tires, wiper blades, and drive belt, were changed.

In addition to their reliability, Changan engines with Bluecore technology can boost combustion efficiency, reduce weight and power loss, and increase fuel delivery control and injection timing. This translates to 20 percent lower fuel consumption and a significant reduction of harmful emissions — by 40 percent, CMPI pointed out.

Further, CMPI stated that Changan engines are quiet and have only 60.8dB of idle noise, surpassing China’s National Noise First-Class Evaluation Standard.
