Aside from the T9, JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company) Philippines is also scheduled to reveal the Ytterby within the month.
JAC International Regional Director for Asia Pacific Jessica Ji and JAC Philippines Brand Head Tonette Lee both shared the information in an interview during a recent meeting with select members of the motoring media.
While such is the case, the Astara-Philippines-led company has yet to provide the model’s particular launch date.
While waiting, here are notable bits of information about the vehicle.
Measuring 4,025 millimeters (mm) long; 1,770 mm wide; and 1,560 mm tall, the Chinese brand’s electric vehicle entry for the local market features a 2,620-mm wheelbase and a 160-mm ground clearance.
Outside, the electrified offering sports a round “Angel Eyes” LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, a panoramic sunroof, air inlets, at front bumpers, flush door handles, two-tone wheels (which are either in 16- or 17-inch in size), and black accents on the roof, pillars, circular side mirrors, and below the doors.
Its cabin boasts and elegant interior in monotone (black) or dual-tone (black and brown) colors, leather-covered multi-function steering wheel, seats, air-conditioning system (PM 2.5 filtration functions) with vents at the front and back, floating touchscreen (either 12.8- or 15.6-inch, Android Auto and Apple Carplay-ready), 6.2-inch digital gauge cluster, and varying charging options (ports for Type A and C as well as a dock/pad).
Powering the compact EV is an electric motor that has the capacity to provide a peak of 134 horses and 175 Newton-meters of torque (depending on the variant). The mill is matched to a cellular-type electric battery (either with a 41- or 51.5-kilowatt-hour capacity) that allows the vehicle to go up to 505 kilometers (based on China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle standards).
Its standard technologies include a 360-degree panoramic camera; 540-degree transparent chassis; electronic stability control; anti-lock braking system with dynamic assist and electronic brakeforce distribution; traction control system; and tire pressure monitoring.
Further the range-topping JAC Ytterby trim is outfitted such as driver assistive technologies like blind spot detection, cross traffic warning, lane departure Warning, lane cross warning, front collision warning, auto headlamp switch, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency brake (with pedestrian recognition, and intelligent cruise assistance.
With the pricing expected to be released during the official launch, below are the JAC Ytterby’s two trims (which are offered in white, beige, gray, green, and purple color options):
