Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corporation (MMPC) introduced the new Xpander Cross to the local automotive scene this January. Its arrival comes after the brand brought the updated Xpander into the country in May 2022.
And while most car buyers will easily make up their minds choosing to drive home the Philippines’ best-selling multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), deciding which color to get could sometimes be a head-scratcher.
That said, we take a look at the four available colors of the Philippine-spec Mitsubishi Xpander Cross.
This gray hue makes for the ideal choice for car buyers who rarely find the time to get their car washed. That’s because gray cars — the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross included — look good even with very minimal cleaning.
Gray, unlike other colors on the palette, can hide dust. So, those opting for this Graphite Gray Metallic finish can be confident driving around town even when they’re carrying two weeks’ worth of dirt. Now that’s practicality.
On a more serious note, the new Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is indeed a practical car. With a base price of P1.328 million, would-be owners can get a modern-looking MPV with the latest in-car technologies.
Speaking of which…
Silver has always been associated with technology. And to show that this MPV is also tech-savvy, MMPC equipped the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross with an eight-inch full digital instrument cluster, and a seven-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It also gets an engine Start/Stop button, an electronic parking brake with an auto hold function, and air conditioning with digital controls.
With the aforementioned features, the new Mitsubishi Xpander Cross can help make every journey easy for the family.
One of the new features introduced by MMPC with the new Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is the two-tone finish. This paintwork is an example as the familiar Quartz White Pearl paint is now paired with a black roof.
White has always been the safest car color as this hue is the least to be associated with accidents, according to studies. But those looking to drive home a white Mitsubishi Xpander Cross should not choose this finish just because of its reputation. In fact, the MPV is equipped with a robust suite of safety features like active stability and traction control, active yaw control, hill start assist, and a reverse camera.
The iconic orange hue also received a two-tone treatment for 2023. This means that the fun and zesty color gets more black accents, which further accentuates its sport utility vehicle-like appeal.
The black roof blends well with the black wheel arches and the black A, B, and C-pillars that give the new Mitsubishi Xpander Cross a rough and rugged look.
Complementing this peppy paintwork is a 1.5-liter engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. This setup makes 103 horses and 141 Newton meters of torque.
