The Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is the range-topping variant of the Japanese carmaker’s locally offered MPV. Compared to its siblings, the Xpander Cross offers better premium amenities, albeit with a more premium price.

As we’ve briefly covered above, the Xpander Cross offers more premium features like a chrome dynamic shield front fascia, a silver bumper, silver-painted fog lamp bezels, chrome side mirrors, plus it rides on 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
The interior of the Xpander Cross shares pretty much the same features as the newly launched Black Series variant as well as the GLS trim for the three-spoke steering wheel that’s wrapped in leather with brown stitching.
Speaking of interiors…
The Xpander Cross has a spacious cabin that can offer seats for a large Filipino family. The seven-seater MPV has enough leg and headroom to keep its passengers comfortable for both short trips and long rides.
There’s also 150-liters of boot space at the back to keep your luggage.
All that space comes at a premium as only the Xpander Cross, compared to other variants, comes with larger dimensions.
The other three variants — the GLX, GLS, and the Black Series — all measure 4,475mm long and 1,750mm wide. The Xpander Cross however is 4,500mm long and 1,800mm wide. Plus, it’s the tallest among the bunch standing at 1,750mm.
With great features come great responsibilities, financially that is. The Xpander Cross is priced at P1,255,000, a little more expensive even when compared to top-tier MPVs from other brands.
For reference, the Toyota Avanza Veloz has a sticker price of P1,077,000 while the range-topping variant of the Suzuki Ertiga will set you back P923,000.
The Xpander Cross is not going to be everybody’s cup of tea. But those looking for an aggressive-looking MPV that offers enough room for everyone in the family should definitely consider the Xpander Cross from Mitsubishi.
