After being showcased at the Manila International Auto Show 2023 last April, Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) announced that the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid can now be purchased at any member of its dealer-network nationwide.
According to the Chinese automotive manufacturer’s local arm, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid pushes the brand’s “Green Mobility Made Practical” initiative.
“With the introduction of the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, we aim to make sustainable driving a norm for every Filipino car buyer. And we are doing it by offering a mild hybrid vehicle at a very practical price,” United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) Chairman Rommel Sytin said.
Propelling the vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a 48-volt belt starter generator system matched to a nine-speed continuously variable transmission. The powertrain, CAP shared, can deliver up to 156 horsepower and 230 Newton-meters of torque.
Further, the company explained that the mild hybrid technology that can be found in the hybrid version of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro can provide “an efficient boost to the conventional combustion engine” to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
In addition, the vehicle enjoys the following functions such as start and stop system as well as energy recovery (regenerates power during coasting or braking).
“Sustainable driving is for all, and we would like to make sustainable mobility solutions practical for everyone,” the UAAGI top honcho added.
Additional features of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid are the multi-color ambient lighting, six airbags, panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, wireless mobile charging, 360-degree around view monitor, and 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster.
Relatively, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid has an introductory retail price of P1.25 million — which is P100,000 lower than its original price tag of P1.35 million. The vehicle can be had in the following body color options: white, gray, red, silver, and black.
