Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) has announced that it has surpassed the full 12-month sales last year in a matter of seven months in 2021.
The local arm of the Chinese automotive manufacturer said that its year-to-date sales reflected a 42-percent jump compared to the same period in 2020.
Aside from that, the company, launched late 2019 under a different distributor, enjoyed a 122-percent increase in sales in July 2021 compared to the same month last year.
CAP said that the all-new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro compact SUV led the sales charge, trailed by the subcompact Tiggo 2, while the Tiggo 8 seven-seater midsize SUV and subcompact Tiggo 5X on third and fourth spots, respectively.
CAP President Rommel Sytin attributed the “highly encouraging positive results” from a combination of factors such as the growing awareness of the brand and its value-for-money proposition.
“The intermittent lockdowns and the relentless heavy rains underscore the importance of mobility more than ever and people are really searching for products that give maximum value and mobility for their hard-earned money. Our high-riding Tiggo models with water-wading depths as much as 600mm meet all their needs,” Sytin was quoted as saying.
To note, Chery buyers also get an industry-leading warranty and PMS programs, which boasts a 10-year/one million-kilometer engine warranty, a five-year general warranty, and a full three-year preventive maintenance service (PMS).
