Chery Auto PH to unveil 2 models at PIMS 2024

Chery Auto Philippines will unveil two models at the upcoming Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

Per the photo posted by the local arm of the Chinese carmaker on its official Facebook page, the two automobiles that will be unboxed at the motoring event could be the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) and the facelifted Tiggo 2 Pro.

One can see the illuminated fascias of the cars under the thin veil that covers them.

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV

Overseas, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine accompanied by two electric motors. It also gets a three-gear dedicated hybrid transmission.

The estimated pure electric range of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is up to 75 kilometers.

Its notable features include a Rhombus Diamond front grille, a set of 19-inch wheels, a 24.6-inch intelligent curved double-screen system, and a wireless charger.

While Chery Auto Philippines currently has a Tiggo 7 Pro hybrid model on offer, it lacks plug-in technology, so expanding the range with a PHEV variant could make sense.

Chery Tiggo 2 Pro

As for the updated Chery Tiggo 2 Pro, the company’s global site shows that it wears a more modern-looking latticework with high-definition crystal lens LED headlamps, a set of 17-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display.

Under its hood is a 1.5-liter gasoline mill paired with a continuously variable transmission.

Chery at PIMS 2024

Chery Auto Philippines will be a part of this year’s PIMS show as it now is a member of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated.

The said event will run from October 24-27 and will happen at the World Trade Center in Pasay.
