Chery kicks off 2022 by exporting more than 20K units

The Chery Group recently shared in its January sales report that the Chinese automotive brand is off to a great start in 2022. The report revealed that last month, Chery exported a total of 26,900 units.

Per the data released by the AEB (Association of European Business), Chery's sales in January 2022 increased by 47% year-on-year, placing it in 10th spot among Russia’s best-selling automotive brands with the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro coming in as the brand’s top-selling model in the country for the said month.

In Chile, Chery ranked second among all automobile brands in January thanks to a record-breaking sales figure of 2,969 units. According to the data released by ANAC (Asociación Nacional Autoriz de Chile A.G.), Chery surpassed Toyota, Volkswagen, Nissan, and other brands, with a year-on-year increase of 188 percent. Chery’s best-selling unit in Chile for January was the Tiggo 2.

Chery also did pretty well in Brazil based on the data released by Fenabrave (National Motor Vehicle Distribution Federation) of Brazil. Here, Chery ranked among the top 10 passenger vehicle brands with a sales volume of 3,131 units in January. Chery’s top-selling models include the Tiggo 3X, Tiggo 8, Tiggo 5X.

Meanwhile, Chery’s Egyptian January sales were at 1,658 units with the Tiggo 7 Pro becoming its best-selling model therein. In addition, according to the data released by Contactecars, an authoritative Egyptian media brand, around 2,186 Chery vehicles were registered in Egypt in January, taking the number one spot from Hyundai.

So far, Chery now has more than 10 million customers worldwide, including 1.95 million outside China. In 2022, with the formal commissioning of Chery’s Future Factory of Intelligent Connected Vehicles, the overall improvement of technology, products, and brand, the launch of new products including OMODA 5, as well as the further promotion of products adaptive development and Chery globalization efforts, the sales volume of Chery Group is expected to reach new heights.
