Chery PH continues to keep pricing amid safeguard duty

Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) said that it has continued to freeze the pricing of its vehicles despite the imposition of the provisional safeguard duty by the Bureau of Customs.

In a statement, CAP President Rommel Sytin revealed that the company will extend its "No Price Increase" program this month of May to help consumers acquire the Chery vehicle of their choice.

“The ones who want a Chery shall have a Chery—and we hope that the thousands of pesos that they could save from this program can make things light and easy,” Sytin was quoted as saying.

The said promotion from CAP started in March.

Below are the prices of its lineup:

Tiggo 2 M/T

₱695,000

Tiggo 2 A/T

₱770,000

Tiggo 2 Two-Tone

₱785,000

Tiggo 5x M/T

₱818,000

Tiggo 5x A/T

₱860,000

Tiggo 5x A/T Luxury

₱970,000

All-New Tiggo 7 A/T Pro

₱1.198 million

Tiggo 8 A/T Luxury

₱1.28 million

Tiggo 8 A/T Luxury EX

₱1.34 million

Since the brand was re-introduced to the market under new leadership in 2019, the suggested retail price has been maintained except for the 2021 Tiggo 5x A/T Luxury which had an aesthetic upgrade recently, thanks to the new alloy wheel design, additional rear speakers, and rear air-conditioning vents.

Apart from the No Price Increase program, CAP said it's extending sales promos via low down payment, low monthly amortization, and exclusive cash discounts that apply to all Tiggo variants in their dealerships nationwide.

All the vehicles are covered with first-in-the-industry warranties such as 10-year/one-million kilometer engine warranty, five-year/150,000-kilometer general vehicle warranty, three-year roadside assistance, and the preventive maintenance service free for three years.

“We will continue to make the Chery experience exceptional from pre-sale, actual purchase, service, and even customer relations. We are not stopping,” noted Sytin.
