Chevrolet Philippines and NLEX Corporation have teamed up for the latter’s tourism program.
For the latest Lakbay Norte leg (now running on its 12th year), the Golden Bowtie's local arm lent a fleet of Trailblazer and Tracker sport utility vehicles to tour Zambales' travel destinations and gastronomical finds.
For the aforementioned program, participants visited the famous spots in the province to share to the public awe-inspiring activities in the area as well as the delectable Kapampangan dishes that can be found there.
Per NLEX Corporation, the Chevrolet crossovers used in the recently-concluded Zambales leg of the NLEX Lakbay Norte brought the participants to mountainscapes and enjoy nature activities, then went to the province’s beach coves.
“We are happy and grateful for this partnership with Chevrolet Philippines-TCCCI as we share the same thrust of bringing the best and meaningful journey experience for the motorists,” NLEX President Luigi Bautista said.
For her part, Executive Vice President and Director for Marketing and Communication Services Lyn Buena shared Bautista’ sentiments.
“Chevrolet Philippines is glad to be the official mobility partner of NLEX for this travel and tourism program. We’re excited to explore more local destinations, discover unique experiences and find new roads that are worth traveling in the Lakbay Norte series,” she noted.
To recall, TCCCI launched the China-bred Chevrolet Tracker in mid-2021 to join its refreshed lineup. The model (which is offered in two trims) is a product of the SAIC-General Motors (GM) collaboration.
Providing power to the vehicle is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder double overhead cam (DOHC) Ecotec Turbo engine, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that can dish out as much as 116 horsepower (hp) and 175 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
On the other hand, the company brought back the Trailblazer nameplate (which now competes in the compact SUV segment) in late 2021. The said model — eyed to meet the demands of the “forward-thinking, tech-savvy, and independent audience” — is manufactured at the General Motors Incheon plant in South Korea and is built on a global GM platform.
The vehicle’s 1.3-liter inline three-cylinder DOHC turbocharged mill paired to a six-speed front-wheel-drive Hydramatic VT40 continuously variable transmission has the capability to deliver up to 155 hp and 236 Nm of pulling power.
