Chevrolet PH to revive Trax nameplate in PH next month

During its launch, the Golden Bowtie’s vice president Scott Bell expressed pride over the vehicle. “The all-new Trax has everything you need and nothing you don’t.”
“More space. More features. More style. This is an entry-level vehicle that will surprise and delight customers with its value and plays a critical role as the gateway into the Chevy brand,” he added.
While no details were shared as of posting, the country will likely have the 2024 Chevrolet Trax’s RS trim as seen in the teaser video.
Expected to be powering the forthcoming Chevrolet Trax is a 1.2-liter double overhead cam direct-inject turbo gasoline powertrain. The aforementioned mill has the capacity to produce 137 horsepower and 219 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. It is paired with a six-speed transmission. For comparison, its predecessor has a 1.4-liter engine that can dish 140 horses and 200Nm of pulling power.
Now bigger and bolder, the soon-to-arrive model measures 4,537 millimeters (mm) long, 1,823m wide (excluding mirrors), and 1,560mm tall with a 2,700mm wheelbase. Its ground clearance is 186mm.
Further, the vehicle will likely wear 18-inch alloy wheels.
In addition, the cargo capacity of the vehicle is up to 1,532 liters (rear seats folded).
Inside, the upcoming vehicle might have the eight-inch-diagonal infotainment system.
Carmudi Philippines is hoping that notable safety driver assistive features available in its home country will also be fitted in the 2024 Chevrolet Trax such as the six standard airbags, tire pressure monitor system, rear view camera, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, auto high-beams and following distance indicator, adaptive cruise control, side blind zone alert with lane change alert, rear cross traffic alert and rear park assist.

To recall, TCCCI and Chevrolet Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Albert Arcilla earlier clarified that the Tracker is not a replacement of the Trax.
