The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) announced the availability of the Chevrolet Tahoe in its Philippine dealership network.
Compared to its previous generation, the wheelbase of the all-new Chevrolet Tahoe is 125 millimeters (mm) longer while its overall length grew by 169mm. Such enhancements reflected a 40-percent increase in legroom for the third row, 66-percent greater cargo volume behind the third row, and 30-percent growth in maximum cargo room.
Powering the Chevrolet Tahoe is the 5.3-liter Ecotec Engine that can provide as much as 355 horsepower and 518 Newton-meters of torque. The aforementioned mill is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and electronic shift control.
At the front of the full-size sport utility vehicle are the aggressive fascia flaunting black grille with active shutters, signature bowtie logo, LED daytime running lamps, and Intellibeam headlamps.
It also has a high approach angle and integrated skid plate that showcases off-road capabilities as well as roof rack side rails.
The all-new Chevrolet Tahoe sits on 20- to 22-inch wheels depending on the trim and also has independent multi-link suspensions that work with magnetic ride control and adaptive air ride suspensions.
Inside, the newly-offered model is fitted with a 10.2-inch Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment System that is Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto ready, a 15-inch head-up display, and 12.6-inch LCD touchscreens for second- and third-row passengers top-of-the-line variety. Each rear screen offers independent connections, so passengers can watch different content on each side. They can also share content from one screen to the other, mirror content from an Android phone to a screen and send navigation points of interest, like restaurant suggestions or pit stop locations, to the central infotainment screen up front.
Further, both the driver and front passenger can enjoy 10-way power seats with lumbar adjustment while the rear seats are power folding.
Other amenities that can be found in the interior are the Bose Performance Series Speaker System, tri-zone automatic climate control, and inductive wireless charging dock.
Its extensive host of safety and driver assistive technologies include 360-degree Surround Vision, seven airbags, forward collision alert, front and rear pedestrian alert, following distance indicator, lane keep assist, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, automatic emergency braking, rear park assist sensors with camera, anti-lock braking system, traction control system, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and hill descent control.
The vehicle is being retailed in Z71 and High Country options.
Following the announcement of model’s available in showrooms nationwide, Chevrolet Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Albert Arcilla said that customers can expect more North American products to be made available in the country.
“As we continue to receive a very warm reception for our North American (NAM) products, we are pleased to share the good news that more of our NAM models shall be made accessible for the Philippine market. ,” Arcilla said.
