Chrysler teased the return of the 300C after the Michigan-based automotive brand posted pictures of the full-sized luxury car’s wheels on various social media platforms. This time, the Stellantis-owned marque drops more details on the upcoming 300C.
According to Chrysler, the 300C will be powered by a 6.4-liter hemispherical combustion chamber (HEMI) engine. The beefy powerplant makes 485 horsepower (hp) with 644Nm of torque. The new mill takes the Chrysler 300C from 0-60 kilometers per hour (kph) in around 4.45 seconds with a top speed of 257.4kph.
The 392-cubic inch, naturally aspirated engine is paired with a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission that optimizes fuel economy while offering maximum performance with 160-millisecond (ms) shifts. Additional performance features include red four-piston Brembo brakes, a 3.09 limited-slip differential, active damping suspension, and black, rounded exhaust tips that accent an active exhaust system that delivers a muscular, throaty sound.
Chrysler gives the executive car a new 300C badge which is found on the vehicle’s grille and rear decklid. It also dons black chrome accents on the grille and lower fascia, plus black headlamp, and taillamp bezels. The new Chrysler 300C rides on 20-by-9-inch forged wheels with all-season performance tires.
Three exterior colors are available for the 300C: Gloss Black, Velvet Red, and Bright White.
Inside, the Chrysler 300C features black Laguna leather front seats embossed with the new 300C logo and further accented with unique silver stitching. This silver stitching also reaches the doors and leather instrument panel, with carbon fiber and Piano Black touches on the interior bezels.
The Chrysler 300C packs a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and the 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard. Advanced brake assist, Lane Departure Warning Plus, and Full Speed Collision Warning Plus are just a few of the standard safety features, while comfort features include a heated steering wheel and heated and ventilated front seats.
Per Chrysler, only 2,000 units will be offered in the US with another 200 allocated for Canada. The 300C will be priced at US$55,000 (about P3.168 million).
