Clark Gets Its Own Hyundai Trucks and Buses Dealership
The Laus Group of Companies, a massive local multi-brand automotive network operating in the country, marked its 40th anniversary with the grand opening of Hyundai Trucks and Buses Clark--its first Hyundai commercial vehicle (CV) dealership--in Clark, Pampanga last Thursday, July 26.
With the new Hyundai CV dealership, the auto conglomerate aims to fulfill the South Korean vehicle manufacturer's goal of extending its global CV solutions to local businesses in Clark and neighboring areas while supporting the region's booming economy.
"I have always believed that Clark is the growth epicenter of Northern and Central Luzon," said Levy P. Laus, chairman and CEO of the Laus Group. "With the opening of Hyundai Trucks and Buses Clark here, we envision to promote the freeport as a primary hub of commercial vehicles of Hyundai in the Philippines."
"Indeed, Clark promises so many things and we found that it is very timely for us to finally have presence here, as our way of showing our commitment to power the transport and logistic services of the countryside through cutting-edge CV products and services," Laus added.
Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) president and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo partook in the ceremonies.
"We are proud to have landed rightly at the country's so-called City of the Future, a former American base now poised as Asia's next aerotroplis and a major urban center outside Metro Manila," Perez-Agudo said during her speech. "Home to over 900 businesses and an emerging entry point to the Asia Pacific Region through the Clark International Airport, I believe that Mr. Levy Laus chose the right location."
"We are very excited to see Hyundai Trucks and Buses Clark lead the way in providing world-class mobility solutions and we trust and support our equally competent partner, the Laus Group who is an inspiration for all of us at HARI, for this endeavor," she said further.
Closing the ceremonies was Clark Development Corporation (CDC) vice president Eva Tejada, who extended the Freeport and Special Economic Zone's warm welcome to its newest dealership and thanking the whole organization that she regards as one of CDC's most valued assets in the process.
Aside from Clark, the Laus Group revealed that it also plans to open other Hyundai CV dealerships in Baliwag, Bataan, and Dagupan.
