Size-wise, both cars sport the same length although the Ford Mustang boasts a wider body than the Chevrolet Camaro. The two cars are also neck and neck when it comes to their wheelbase.

The Mustang, however, stands a hair taller than the Camaro.

Nevertheless, we’ll call it a tie.

Interior

Remember, both cars allow customers to build them to their liking so we’ll stick to the standard interior features offered by the two.

First up is the Ford Mustang. The namesake of the pony car comes with a 12-inch color fully-customizable digital instrument cluster, Shaker Pro audio system with 12 speakers, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shift knob and parking brake lever.

Next comes the Camaro. It features a customizable eight-inch color display, Bose premium audio system with nine speakers, leather interior panels, leather-trimmed dashboard, leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

With even amounts of high-end amenities in both ponies, this round’s going to be another tie.

Engine

The Ford Mustang is currently offered in two engine options: 2.3-liter EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V8. both powerplants are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the Chevrolet Camaro is only offered in a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged mill mated to an eight-speed automatic tranny.

Because of the available powertrain options it has to offer, the ‘Stang takes this round.

Safety

Both cars aren’t the kind to skimp on safety. The Ford Mustang comes with a complete suite of airbags, AdvanceTrac with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Individual Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Perimeter alarm, SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft System, SOS Post-Crash Alert System, and child seat tethers.

Meanwhile, the Chevy Colorado offers its own respective set of airbags, child seat anchorages, side door impact beams, rear parking sensors, reversing camera, ABS with Brake Assist (BA) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), StabiliTrak System, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, TPMS, Anti-theft Alarm System, and an engine immobilizer.

Both cars offer some of the best safety features making this round a nip and tuck affair. That said, this round’s a draw.
