Cleanfuel partners with Lyka app for newest cashless payment option
Lyka users may now enjoy the benefits brought about by Cleanfuel products after the independent oil company and the latest social media platform entered in an agreement, opening a fun avenue of payment when fueling up at the latter's gas stations.
Cleanfuel, known for its corporate battlecry “Quality fuel for less”, has forged a partnership with Lyka that enables digital platform users to pay without using money or topping up their online cash accounts.
Motorists who have a Lyka account may pay with their Lyka Gems at select Cleanfuel Stations, giving motorists another cashless payment option, especially important during these vital times.
Cleanfuel President Bong Suntay said that the latest mode of payment gives them an opportunity to tap a new audience—especially those who are tech-savvy and socially-interactive.
“We see how e-commerce business continues to grow with 40 million new users in usage of Internet in Southeast Asia. Last year, the e-commerce business in the country increases with a significant growth of over 50-percent in times of health crisis as more customers relied over online delivery services. This simply shows how the e-commerce business takes over the traditional marketplace,” Suntay said.
“We are excited to be part of this partnership as we are bridging the gap in innovating and adapting in the unique buying behavior of our new customers,” he noted.
Further, he claimed that their target will also reach a younger market. “In Cleanfuel, our ‘Quality fuel for Less’ goes beyond our corporate slogan. This is why we are continuously innovating to keep up with the times, but also to tap the younger market that are into the Lyka trend,” the Cleanfuel president explained.
A new social media platform, Lyka allows users to connect, discover and share interests within the digital platform and get rewarded when they interact. Users receive Lyka Gems by giving ratings or being rated by others, sharing content, gaining a following, and spending time on the app.
These gems can be shared among friends, exchanged for goods with other partner merchants, and collected to redeem gifts at the Lyka Shop.
Among those that use the Lyka app are Cleanfuel brand ambassador Dominic Roque, and other local celebrities such as Ivana Alawi, Julia Barreto, Liza Soberano.
Back in 2019, Cleanfuel also created a partnership with PayMaya Philippines Inc. in the company’s bid to make transactions with their motorists with faster and seamless.
