CMPI eyes more awards at Changan Global Skills Competition

After being honored with the Excellence of Service Award at the 2023 Changan Automobile Overseas Partner Conference, Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) is targeting to cop more accolades at the forthcoming Changan Global Skills Competition.

The Chinese-automaker’s arm locally shared that Changan Sta. Rosa Laguna Service Advisor Jayson Ambata and Changan Heroes Hills Service Technician Ponciano De Jesus will don the country’s colors at the aforementioned contest, which is set to be held next month at Changan International Corporation’s (CIC) headquarters in Chongqing, China.

The company said that both Ambata and Ponciano proved their mettle after being champions of the First Changan National Skills Competition held in March 2023 and and earned top scores at last April’s Regional Skills Competition (beating contenders from Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Pakistan, and Russia).

“The fact that Changan International Corporation invited us to compete in their First Global Skills Competition signals our readiness in the area of Service to bolster Changan’s bid to accelerate its global expansion. Aftersales is the backbone of our business and I am proud of the world-class teams who are driving it,” CMPI President and Chief Executive Officer Maria Fe Perez-Agudo was quoted as saying.

Per CMPI, the Changan Global Skills Competition is aimed at recognizing and showcasing the skills and capabilities of top-performing service professionals across the Changan global distributorship network. It also serves to inspire Service teams to strive for excellence in fulfilling the Changan customer promise of “Lasting Safety.”
