CMPI puts spotlight on CS35 Plus’ powertrain setup

Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) has placed the spotlight on the powertrain setup of the CS35 Plus.

According to CMPI, the Changan CS35 Plus sports a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine powered by the brand’s BlueCore engine technology allowing the subcompact sport utility vehicle (SUV) to provide its owners with a powerful, clean, and quiet driving experience.

To note, Changan’s BlueCore technology is recognized as one of China’s top 10 engines. Per CMPI, this technology has achieved high standards in acceleration as well as in the reduction of noise vibration and carbon emissions.

Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system, the Changan CS35 Plus’ mill can put out as much as 157 horsepower and 260 Newton meters of torque.

And while it does offer decent power, it further impresses with its practicality. At the Automobile Association of the Philippines’ fuel economy run held last year, the Changan CS35 Plus logged an impressive 21.495 kilometers per liter (kpl) for highway driving and 15.25kpl for city driving.

A smooth and stable ride is also to be expected from the Changan CS35 Plus, thanks to its MacPherson strut suspension system at the front and torsion beam setup at the rear.

Further, it comes with three driving modes (Sport, Comfortable, and Standard) to help owners adapt seamlessly to almost any driving condition.

The Changan CS35 Plus is offered in three variants: Lite, Hype, and Luxe. They are priced at P1.039 million, P1.189 million, and P1.209 million, respectively.
