Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) has officially launched the new Changan CS35 Plus.
Unveiled at the Auto Resource Center (formerly known as the Hyundai Logistics Center), the new Changan CS35 Plus is eyed to provide freedom that customers want.
On the outside, the updated version of the Changan CS35 Plus gets the obsidian rock formation grille design flanked with split headlamp layout. It also has a red racing line around the front headlamps, running along the side. The whale-tail rear design houses the new LED tail lamps.
The newly revealed subcompact crossover is fitted with functioning dual stainless exhaust pipes and 18-inch dual tone alloy wheels (available for the higher grades) for that athletic allure.
The new Changan CS35 Plus offers an ergonomically refined cabin heightened by the black-and-red leather seats. Further, the sport utility vehicle has rear air-conditioning vents (fitted in the upper trims) and a panoramic sunroof while the air-conditioning system is equipped with a PM 0.1 filter.
The new Changan CS35 Plus is also built with an Engine Remote Start. As a precautionary measure, the engine will shut down automatically within 10 minutes if the driver fails to get inside the cabin and drive the vehicle.
Nestled in the center of the dashboard is a 10-inch touch display with Bluetooth connectivity. Aside from that, the vehicle comes with two USB ports and a wireless charging pad.
Powering the new Changan CS35 Plus is 1.4-liter turbocharged naturally aspirated engine that can deliver 160 horses and 260Nm of pulling power. The power mill is mated to a seven-speed wet dual clutch transmission.
The driver gets to enjoy a flat-bottom steering wheel with integrated vehicle controls. The level of steering can be adjusted three ways (“Sport” for more stable control during high speed, “Comfort” for lighter control while parking or navigating through traffic, and “Standard” for everyday city driving on normal road conditions).
In terms of cargo space, the new Changan CS35 Plus can haul as much as 950 liters. The top-of-the-line variety comes with a new power tailgate function.
Moreover, the new Changan CS35 Plus has a host of features under its Safe-tech System that includes up to six airbags, adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking, as well as front collision warning and panoramic camera system (for the middle and top-tier offerings).
In addition, the cabin is engineered with an ultra-high strength body frame.
Other safety amenities are the tire pressure monitoring system, Isofix latches, and an Auto Close feature that closes all open windows and sunroof if left open upon locking the vehicle.
Available in three colorways specifically Wunderlust White, Timber Wolf Gray, and Draco Red, the new Changan CS35 Plus is offered in three variants at the following prices:
