The Toyota Avanza is one of the Japanese carmaker’s entries into the highly competitive local MPV segment. Thanks to a recent update, this moderately sized MPV now looks more aggressive than ever despite having somewhat modest hues.

Despite having a more aggressive look, the interior of the refreshed Avanza comes with modest amenities. The dashboard of the MPV looks simple and straightforward with plenty of hard plastics and a look that leans more on the durable, rather than on the luxurious side.
The same can be said with the trims on the door panel as well as on the simple center console.
Although the interior of the Toyota Avanza is filled with durable materials, riding in the MPV still feels comfortable. Passengers get fabric seats with sufficient cushioning and headrests. The front passenger seat has a slide and a recline function. The second-row seating slides over with a 50:50 split feature with one having a one-touch-tumble function.
And while we’re on the topic of comfort, the steering wheel and the shift knob of the Toyota Avanza can be had in either urethane, urethane with silver accent, or leather with silver accent.
Those who use the Avanza as a family vehicle will be glad to find that it’s equipped with a battalion of bottle holders. That said, you’ll be sure that the kids riding at the back are well rehydrated during the trip — be it long or short.
In total, the Toyota Avanza has 17 bottle holders, front and rear.
The Toyota Avanza is currently offered in five variants with prices ranging from P743,000 to P1,077,000.
