Recently, the Ford Territory has reached its 8,000-unit sales milestone, meaning more followers continue to trust the model and its capabilities since it was introduced in the country in August 2020.
This comes as no surprise — especially to those who have joined the recent Ford Philippines’ media drive from Thunderbird in Binangonan, Rizal to Viewscape Nature’s Park in Tanay to catch the picturesque daybreak while immersing participants with the vehicle’s cans and cannots.
Here are the reasons why the Ford Territory — despite being a rookie in the local automotive arena — continues to gain more followers.
Definitely a looker
Wearing a big and bulky dimension (which is a known trait for American vehicles like the Blue Oval's), the Ford Territory guarantees a commanding presence on the road. The all-LED lighting will further attract everyone’s attention.
Space
During these times where one has to haul as much as possible at the least number of trips possible, the overall 3,200-liter interior space is a plus for a vehicle buyer. Picture this: we have to bring two sets of luggage for two people for an overnight stay, a laptop bag as well as four pairs of shoes and the five-seater still has room for more.
Premium interiors
The Ford Territory is tailored with premium soft touch materials and piano-key fixtures to boast elegant styling. Thanks to its panoramic moonroof, those inside the cabin can still bask in the ambiance of the great outdoors while comfortably staying inside the sport utility vehicle.
Power and efficiency
The 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that is mated to a continuously variable (CVT) transmission with a Sport mode is designed to perform. Following a 12-vehicle convoy, participants were able to close the gaps to each other while managing the twists, stretches, uphills and patches of off-road.
With relatively huge proportions (and being driven on heavy traffic), it was able to do around 9 to 10 kilometer-per-liter consumption.
Feature-packed
Ford guarantees the safety of everyone while inside the Territory.
It has an autonomous emergency braking system that alerts drivers about potential collisions and brakes on its own if the driver does not react to it. The 360-degree camera gives the driver a better view of the vehicle that would help motorists maneuver with ease.
The vehicle also has Active Park Assist and lane-keeping system (which are part of an advanced suite of safety technologies, the Ford Co-Pilot360).
On the way to Viewscape, participants caught slight drizzles — which could affect the driver’s view. But the rain-sensing windscreen wipers and auto headlamps assured that everyone gets to the destination safely.
After reaching the Viewscape, most of us realized that the Ford Territory was not only built to overcome the challenges of daily urban living, but to appreciate the tranquil and stress-free life outside the walls of metropolis too. The event also could very well depict how the brand has caught the dawn of a new day in the crossover category with such a remarkable offering.
