Nissan has launched the new Nissan Kicks e-Power in the Philippines last month. Its arrival marks a new electrically-driven offering from the Japanese carmaker that provides Filipino car buyers a fuel-efficient ride with a peppy and fun-to-drive powertrain.
And because the fuss created around the Nissan Kicks e-Power was all about its fuel-powered electric motor-driven system, many of us wondered about some of its less highlighted features — like its interior. That’s why today, we take a look at what’s inside the Nissan Kicks e-Power.
The interior of the Nissan Kicks e-Power is touted as a cabin that comes with curated amenities that would give the driver and its passengers “absolute comfort” so they would enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
We think no other feature better translates such attribute than the Nissan Kicks e-Power’s seats.
Found on the front row are Nissan’s fatigue-free Zero-gravity seats. Nissan claimed that the chairs were designed and engineered with ergonomic technology to analyze, measure, and verify fatigue reduction and comfort, leading to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)-measured “neutral posture.”
The said seats are also available on the Nissan Leaf, the Nissan Terra, and Nissan Navara.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power’s Zero Gravity seats can be finished in either fabric with single stitching or in leather with double stitching — depending on the variant. Either way, both options will provide you with unparalleled comfort during short and long drives.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power’s steering wheel adds to its charm that makes the atmosphere of the vehicle truly futuristic. And while it does have a lot of buttons for audio and other driver-assistive features, the controls are neatly fixed.
Popping out of the black hues of the steering wheel is a chrome trim that outlines its lower portion. The result is a sleek, modern minimalist look that blends well with the overall theme of the cabin.
Depending on the variant, the steering wheel can be finished in urethane or leather. Both options though feature manual tilt and telescopic adjust functions.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power also has its fair share of crisp digital screens.
Past the steering wheel is a seven-inch digital instrument panel that displays relevant driving data like the Nissan Kicks e-Power’s power meter, its fuel gauge, the drive range, and the battery charge gauge. This is complemented by either a standard audio unit or an eight-inch infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions.
The former is matched to four speakers while the latter has six and boasts other features like a fully-customizable interface and navigation.
Another feature of the Nissan Kicks e-Power’s interior is the illuminated electronic gear selector. It features typical automatic transmission controls like Park, Reverse, Neutral, and Drive.
Right above the electronic gear selector are switches for the drive modes, electronic vehicle (EV) mode, and the Start/Stop button. There’s also an electronic parking brake and a switch for Auto Hold.
The interior of the Nissan Kicks e-Power seamlessly blends the feeling of an advanced and modern vehicle (thanks to its avant-garde amenities) as well as a traditional crossover (because of its clean and uncluttered layout).
Not only will its powertrain setup relieve you of range anxiety but its cabin will help reduce your stress when traveling.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power is offered in the Philippines in three variants: EL, VE, and VL. Its price ranges from P1.209 to P1.509 million.
