Cursed Supercar? Repaired Koenigsegg Agera RS Gryphon Crashes Again

Almost a year to the date after a one-off Koenigsegg Agera RS crashed during testing, the same untoward event happened to the same car, again.

A Swedish news outlet reported that the Agera RS crashed into a ditch located near the National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), where Koenigsegg test-drives its cars. The news outlet confirmed the vehicle is the same one that crashed in May 2017 after it skidded on a wet road and the driver lost control.

The crashed Koenigsegg is an Agera RS Gryphon, considered to be the world's fastest production car. It can deliver an astonishing 1,360 hp and 1,371 Nm of torque. It was originally going to American car collector Manny Khoshbin before it met an accident last year shortly before its scheduled delivery.

The Swedish supercar maker reportedly promised Khoshbin a replacement while planning to repair the crashed model and use it as a factory test and demonstration car.

The test drive was the first time the repaired car had been driven in the open since its crash last year. The cause of the crash has not been identified, and no sources have confirmed whether the driver received any injuries from the accident.
