As shared in the Land Rover Philippines’ website, the Philippine-bound Defender Octa shall have a V8 twin-turbo engine with mild hybrid set-up and will come with several drive modes. The powertrain — which has a peak churn of 626 horsepower and up to 750 Newton-meters of torque — lets the vehicle run 0-100 kilometers per hour in four seconds.
Its distinct roar will come from its active exhaust system while its stopping power shall be assured by the model-specific brake pads, calipers and brake discs with Integrated Power Brake system that reduces brake fade.
Further, the forthcoming Defender Octa is said to be fitted with 6D Dynamics Air Suspension that comes with hydraulic interlinked dampers and height adjustable air springs.
As soon as it arrives, it will join the local Defender lineup composed of the 130, 110, and 90.
