Did Vespa’s collaboration with JB age well?

Vespa and Justin Beiber collaborated on a unique project that brought us the merging of classic style and modern looks.

Dubbed the Justin Beiber X Vespa, the timeless Italian scoot was given a fresh new take thanks to a new sleek, white finish with a matching graphic flame element that stretches across the lower body of the motorbike.

In the United States, it is available on the Vespa Sprint 50 and Vespa Sprint 150. They are priced at US$4,999 (P278,516) and US$6,549 (P364,874) respectively.

The Justin Beiber X Vespa was one of the most unexpected collaborations of 2022. But the meeting of the world’s biggest pop star and the classic Italian brand, per Vespa, was no chance encounter. Style and design are a source of constant inspiration for Justin, while Vespa has always been close to the world of music and youth culture.

“My fans know how much I love sports: skateboarding, hockey, basketball, BMX. I’ve always been drawn to that mix of style, grace, and speed. I’m excited to put my spin on the iconic Italian design of Vespa,” Beiber said in a press release.

In the Philippines, Vespa’s available special-edition models include the Primavera RED, the Primavera 75th-anniversary edition, and the GTS Super 75th-anniversary edition. Surprisingly, the Justin Beiber X Vespa is not listed on the scooter brand’s Philippine website. Probably because reportedly, it will only be produced until the end of this year. Or maybe, the achromatic paint with the ‘90s-inspired flames didn’t exactly age well. Or did it?
