Dodge revives Durango SRT Hellcat in US

The newly-introduced model was revealed at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan — during the first day of the Dodge Speed Week event.
In a statement, Dodge said that the model is “ready to reclaim its rightful mantle as the most powerful sport utility vehicle on the planet.”
“The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat has generated a crazy amount of enthusiasm and demand since it was introduced in 2020 — we even extended its initial production run — so it seemed appropriate to bring back the most powerful SUV ever as part of our historic 2023 model-year Dodge lineup,” Dodge Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Kuniskis was quoted as saying.
“Muscle enthusiasts also have families, and the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat can get those families where they want to go and has the ability to tow 8,700 pounds,” the CEO added.
The 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is still powered by the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V8 engine that can deliver a peak churn of up to 710 horsepower and 875Nm of pulling power.
The newest Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat can do 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, cover a quarter mile in 11.5 seconds (certified by the National Hot Rod Association) and reach a top speed of 180mph.
The Durango SRT Hellcat sports the distinct Dodge DNA for its styling, as seen in the front fascia with chin splitter, engine oil cooler duct, air guide and snorkel for cold air induction and rear spoiler that provides 140lbs of downforce at 180mph.
Inside the cabin are the 10.1-inch Uconnect touchscreen, SRT Hellcat exclusive red-accented gauges as well as the standard heated and ventilated Nappa leather with suede front seats and an embroidered SRT logo.

Orders for the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat in the United States will open in September 2022 and scheduled to arrive in dealerships in early 2023.
