DPWH completes Manila North Road improvements
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the improvements along Manila North Road in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The improvements along Manila North Road included asphalt overlaying, asphalt resurfacing, the application of thermoplastic pavement markings, and installation of solar-power studs.Per the agency, the said improvements aim to provide travelers with a more efficient and safer road infrastructure thanks to a 1.85-kilometer (km) asphalt overlaying on the six-lane section of the Manila North Road from Barangay Sto. Domingo to Barangay Sto. Cristo.
Additionally, the project included asphalt resurfacing on the 1.35-km, four-lane portion from Barangay Sto. Domingo to Barangay Sto. Rosario.
Further, DPWH applied thermoplastic pavement markings on the road surface to better guide motorists during the night and in times of adverse weather when road visibility is low.
Likewise, the agency also installed solar-power studs that illuminate at night.
Per DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, the preventive maintenance projects amount to P202.46 million. He added that it was implemented by DPWH Pampanga Third District Engineering Office.
Tolentino also noted that the completion of this project signifies a crucial step forward in the agency’s commitment to the safety and convenience of the public.
