DPWH promises to open Binondo-Intramuros Bridge by Holy Week 2022

Around 30,000 vehicles are projected to ply this 680-meter bridge across the Pasig River.According to the Department of Public Works and Highways, the P3.39-billion project is already 90-percent complete.
DPWH Undersecretary Emil Sadain said that the 680-meter bridge across the Pasig River with the two lanes in each direction complete.
“You can walk over the bridge, but still closed with on-going construction of ramps on Binondo and Intramuros side,” Sadain was quoted as saying.
For his part, DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado expressed excitement over the forthcoming opening of the iconic basket-handle tied steel arch bridge.
The aforementioned bridge is eyed to benefit 30,000 vehicles daily. The bridge also has allotted space for pedestrians and dedicated lane for bikers for improved safety and ease of traffic flow.
